The Harper Charter football team won its first state championship in one of the most dominant performances in Oregon high school football history.

An 81-0 victory over Crow in the Class 1A (6-player) state championship on Saturday at Redmond High School saw a series of title game records fall by the Hornets’ hands.

This marks the biggest point differential for a football state championship game in any classification. The previous record was 72 points, when Arlington beat Prospect 74-2 in the Class B-8 championship game in 1981.

The game was also close to a new record for points scored by a single team in state championship game. Imbler holds that mark from an 88-76 win over Lowell in the Class 1A state title game from 2014.
