Ryan Day shows true colors with decision on midfield flag plant at Michigan

No. 1 Ohio State beat No. 15 Michigan 27-9 on Saturday, snapping a four-game rivalry skid and reclaiming bragging rights in "The Game." The victory, however, nearly spilled into another storyline at midfield after the game.

Multiple Buckeyes sprinted toward the center of Michigan Stadium attempting to plant Ohio State’s flag, but coach Ryan Day intervened before tensions escalated.

Day motioned firmly for players to turn back, corralling them away from the logo as staffers formed a buffer. Moments later, he directed the team off the field and into the locker room, valuing restraint over spectacle.

There was an attempted flag planting… but Ryan Day said no.
