ZIONSVILLE, Ind — The Boone County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday afternoon in Zionsville.

According to a press release, around 5:10 p.m. on Nov. 29, deputies were called to the intersection of U.S. 421 and East County Road 100 North, near Zionsville, on a report of a single-vehicle crash.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a blue pickup truck had slid off the roadway due to the snowy weather conditions, struck a tree and caught fire. The driver was identified as 21-year-old Jordan Perry, of Greenwood.

Perry was transported to a local hospital, where she later died. The Boone County Sheriff's Office says the crash remains under investigation and that they will release more information once it becomes available.
