MURRAY – It was a Thanksgiving never to forget.
Daxton and Vannessa Lowe welcomed their second child, Luna Grace, on Thursday evening. But they didn’t quite make it to the hospital.
The couple was on their way to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray as Vannessa was in labor. As they were exiting the freeway at 5300 South, Daxton asked his wife if she was going to make it.
“And I just go, nope, I feel like she’s coming right now,” Vannessa said Friday during a Zoom interview from the hospital. “I reached down and I go, wow, that’s her head.”
Daxton called 911 and talked to the dispatcher as the baby was delivered in the front seat of the couple’s minivan, on the I-15 northbound off-ramp.
“She just shot out, and I somehow caught her,” Vannessa said.
