It was a move that did not draw much attention. On Aug. 20, the Jets traded for defensive tackle Jowon Briggs . The Jets sent a sixth-round pick to the Browns for Briggs and a seventh-round pick.
Though the move did not move the needle in the summer, it has been a positive for the Jets this fall. Briggs has been a pleasant surprise and is a starter on the Jets’ defense now that Quinnen Williams is in Dallas.
