The win streak is over.
A rested Raptors squad rolled into Charlotte on Saturday to take on a struggling Hornets team that was on a tail end of a back-to-back, and for most of the night both sides looked the part. The Raptors had led all the way, and were up by 12 points with about five minutes left, when it started to unravel.
In the end, they lost 118-111 in overtime, their first defeat after nine straight victories. Brandon Ingram had a chance to win it at the buzzer, on a play similar to the shot he made to beat the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, but missed off the back rim.
It was the first overtime of the season for the Raptors, who were outscored 14-7 in the extra frame.
