CAMAS — Saturday night was a bit of a fresh start for the Camas boys basketball team.
The Papermakers had a new head coach and several players making their first varsity start as Camas hosts Davis of Yakima.
But there was big one holdover from last season.
Senior Ethan Harris scored 22 points and sparked a hot start for the Papermakers en route to a 76-54 win over the Pirates.
“To be honest, going into this game, we knew what was going to work for us,” Harris said. “And that was getting out in transition, being fast, just being a fast team.”
Harris scored 12 of his 22 points in the first quarter as the Papermakers jumped out to a 23-2 lead.
