Each day Brian McCarl checks on Clark County’s latest affordable housing project, he finds another part has been completed.

Specialized Housing, the Oregon-based nonprofit McCarl directs, is developing Felida Park Senior Housing + PACE , the first project of its kind here.

Last year at this time, the lot at 12314 N.W. 36th Ave., was vacant. The 65-unit complex is expected to begin welcoming residents in early 2026. The apartment building will not only enable older adults to age in place, it will also host a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly, often referred to as a PACE facility. The Medicare program provides medical and social services to people 55 and older.
