The Chicago Blackhawks appear ready to move on from Laurent Brossoit.
The Blackhawks have been granting opposing teams permission to speak with the veteran netminder as he prepares to return to the NHL.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported during “Saturday Headlines” on Hockey Night in Canada, noting that while Brossoit is nearing a return to the ice, his future likely lies outside of Chicago.
Brossoit is scheduled to report to the American Hockey League next week for a conditioning stint. It will mark his first game action since the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
