At least four people were killed and ten others were wounded during a mass shooting at a family gathering in California on Saturday night, according to officials.

The shooting broke out just before 6 p.m. inside the banquet hall on the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue near Thornton Rd in Stockton, California, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said.

“This is a very active and ongoing investigation, and information remains limited. Early indications suggest this may be a targeted incident, and investigators are exploring all possibilities,” officials said. “Detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances leading up to this tragedy.”
