Jimmies of Savin Rock, which has been a mainstay on the Connecticut shoreline for 100 years, is closing its doors for good.

The restaurant posted on Facebook Saturday that its last day will be on Dec. 7

Jimmies, which has served seafood in West Haven since 1925, has been a popular eatery through the decades.

The owners said they were closing as they prepare to retire.

"Words can’t fully express how grateful we are for your loyalty, your laughter, your stories, and the memories you’ve made here with us over the decades. To every family that made us part of their weekends, celebrations, and everyday moments, thank you for making Jimmies more than just a restaurant," the post read.
