IMLAY CITY, MI - Renovations are underway at the historic Charles Palmer House in Imlay City, where new owners April Peterson and Tim Mooney are transforming the 19th-century landmark into a bed and breakfast.
Peterson said they purchased the home at 240 N. Main St. in December 2022 and have been working steadily since.
“We’ve already started the renovations,” she told MLive-The Flint Journal in October. “We’re about midway.”
Mooney, a local director, playwright and actor, travels to high schools and colleges doing classical performances and workshops. Peterson said they built a stage inside the property’s pole barn where Mooney rehearses and occasionally performs for free to their neighbors.
