STUTTGART -- Hayes Kibe, a 15-year-old from Batesville, closed the 90th Wings Over the Prairie Festival Saturday by becoming the youngest winner of the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest.
Trey Crawford, the previous youngest winner, won the contest in 1976 at age 16.
Kibe won a trophy, a garnet, a gold ring valued at $10,000 from Wilkerson's Jewelers and a prize package that includes a Benelli shotgun, ammunition, a Turtlebox speaker, a Chene gear package, a Drake gear package, a Yeti cooler, a gift card from Mossy Oak, dog food and other items.
