All the members of the Alabama congressional delegation signed a letter in support of Redstone Arsenal as the site of a micro nuclear reactor.

The delegation sent a letter to Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll highlighting the Arsenal’s qualifications to host a future Microreactor Power Plant site as part of the U.S. Army’s Project Janus .

Project Janus is the Army’s initiative to develop and deploy next-generation nuclear power technology. The project would help provide secure, resilient, and reliable energy to power military installations, independent of the commercial grid, U.S. Rep. Dale Strong’s office said.
