The heartbroken family of a Midland teen who was hit by a train said they would 'miss him forever'.

Joshua Travis, described as having an 'infectious and mischievous smile' and 'kind sparkling eyes', tragically died on Wednesday, November 26.

The 14-year-old was found on the tracks in Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire, just after 7pm.

The youngster, who was a former Nottingham Forest academy goalkeeper, was pronounced dead at the scene.

British Transport Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious.

An emotional statement from Josh’s family read: "Josh was a lad with an incredible energy for life, an infectious and mischievous smile, kind sparkling eyes, and so much love to give.
