Police: Victim dead, after being possibly shot then run over by car

SHREVEPORT, La. -A victim is dead after possibly being shot, then run over by a car.

Late Saturday night, at 11:51 pm the Shreveport Police Department responded to Broadway Avenue and Tate Street after a witness heard gunshots in the area.

SPD said the witness reportedly looked outside to find a victim lying in the street, when a white Dodge Challenger ran the victim over. The witness said they did not see where the Challenger drove off to.

As police were investigating this scene, they received calls of a man lying unresponsive at the intersection of Murvon Street and Lucille Street.

The Shreveport Fire Department pronounced the victim dead. SPD's investigation remains ongoing.
