The Boston Red Sox entered the season with a few clear holes on their roster. They needed to find some upgrades to their starting pitching rotation, and it didn't take long to do so.
The Red Sox swung a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals to bring in Sonny Gray. But it's unclear if that will be the only upgrade they make to the rotation. In fact, Boston could go after one of the other top pitchers on the market.
Ryan Finkelstein of Just Baseball recently projected the Red Sox would land San Diego Padres pitcher Michael King on a solid three-year, $66 million deal this offseason.
