STOCKTON, Calif. —
Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi spoke out against violence in her community in a late-night press conference, following a shooting at a family gathering that killed four people and wounded 10 others .
She noted that Thanksgiving weekend is “when families come together to celebrate, share memories, give each other love."

"And unfortunately tonight heaven is a little bigger with the individuals, children and adults, that unfortunately did not make it," she said. "Stockton is better than this.”
Fugazi referenced a 2015 drive-by shooting outside Madison Market that killed three people and wounded four others as "unacceptable."
