A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a 'disturbance' in a Greater Manchester town. Four people were injured during the incident which took place in the early hours of the morning (November 30).

Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Railway Street, in Altrincham town centre, shortly after 3.20am. They remain at the scene this afternoon.

One man in his 20s suffered facial injuries thought to be life-changing while a 21-year-old man received a wound to the chest. He remains in a serious and stable condition. Another man, 51, and a woman, 52, were left with 'minor injuries' after being assaulted.
