DULUTH — With snowmaking at Spirit Mountain underway since Nov. 21, the recreation area is officially open for the 2025–26 season.
Ticket offices began sales Sunday morning, with the Spirit Express Lift spinning until 5 p.m. Rentals are only available at the Skyline Chalet.
The Powder Monkey, Bindle Stiff and Downhill Musher trails are ready to recreate for skiing and snowboarding, while the Riverside Bar & Grill and Skyline Café are serving up meals and drinks.
“We’ll continue making snow all week and plan to reopen next weekend with more terrain as conditions allow,” Spirit Mountain said in a Facebook post.
The recreation area's other lifts, the bunny hill, terrain park, tubing hill and Nordic trails are not open yet. According to its website, temperatures at the bottom of the hil
