SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Springfield family has been displaced after their home was damaged by a fire on Thanksgiving, according to Smokey barn News (SBN).
SBN reports that Springfield Fire Department crews were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of Lish Lane for reports of a fire just after 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
When crews arrived, they found the home heavily engulfed in flames. Though firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire, about 50% of the home sustained some degree of fire, smoke or water damage.
Officials told SBN that they believe the fire started at the back of the home and spread.
No injuries were reported, but the family has been displaced. The American Red Cross is assisting them, SBN said.
