AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) — Auburn University has named Alex Golesh as the program’s next head football coach.

Golesh, who previously coached at the University South Florida, replaces former Auburn head football coach Hugh Freeze. Auburn is expected to hold a news conference on Monday afternoon to formally introduce Golesh.

Coach Golesh and his family will make their first Tiger Walk down Donahue Drive on Monday at 11:45 am CT, followed by a pep rally with the Auburn University Marching Band, cheerleaders and Aubie, as well as the first chance to hear from Coach Golesh in Tiger Walk Plaza.

Golesh and Athletics Director John Cohen will meet with the media on Monday at 12PM CT in the Anderson-Thorne Tigers Den within the Harbert Family Recruiting Center at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
