On Sunday at 1:14 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch valid from Tuesday 7 a.m. until Wednesday 1 a.m. for Southern Herkimer, Southern Fulton, Northern Saratoga, Northern Warren, Northern Washington, Western Schenectady, Eastern Schenectady, Southern Saratoga, Western Albany, Eastern Albany, Western Rensselaer, Eastern Rensselaer, Western Greene, Eastern Greene, Western Columbia, Eastern Columbia, Western Ulster, Eastern Ulster, Western Dutchess, Eastern Dutchess, Northern Fulton, Southeast Warren and Southern Washington as well as Montgomery and Schoharie counties.
The weather service says, "Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations over 7 inches possible."
