FAIRVIEW, Kentucky — According to NBC affiliate station WSMV , a Tennessee man was injured and a horse died after a crash in Todd County, Kentucky, early Saturday morning, according to WKDZ.
WKDZ said that the crash happened on US 68 near the Britmart Road intersection in Fairview just before 2 a.m.
Todd County sheriff’s deputies told WKDZ that a car was traveling westbound when it collided with a horse in the road. The vehicle crossed the median, left the roadway and came to a stop in a tree line.
The driver, Justin Joslin of Clarksville, was extricated from his vehicle and flown to a Nashville hospital for his injuries.
WKDZ said an off-duty deputy found the crash scene and the horse dead in the road. The deputy then blocked the roadway to prevent any further crashes.
