MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - Brandi Utley and her family had just sat down for a late Thanksgiving meal Saturday afternoon when an explosion rattled their dinner plates.
“I thought it was a tire from a semi on the interstate, so I went back to the back and my fiancé looks up front, and he can see the cop jumping out of the car running to the other car,” Utley said. “We both take off running up here and it was horrible.”
The explosion they heard came from a violent head-on crash right in front of their home on Central Pike.
As Brandi and her family ran out to help, they quickly noticed that one of the cars had been carrying several children.
“My fiancé got three of the girls and one of the younger boys and we got them right over here in the yard,” she said. “His kids grabbed a whole bunch
