LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It’s a tradition Lexingtonians look forward to every year.
But before the city’s Christmas tree and menorah is lit, many spend time with family and friends at Triangle Park downtown.
“It’s so important for everyone in the community to gather and celebrate what brings us all together and this is a great place to do it,” Laura Farnsworth, Director of Development and Events with Lexington Downtown Lexington Partnership said.
Winter staples, including ice skating in the center of Triangle Park, free hot cocoa from the T-Mobile truck and freshly popped kettle corn.
Andrea Vincent and her husband are the owners of Bluegrass Kettle Makers Kettle Korn. They’ve been coming to Lexington’s tree and menorah lighting for almost two decades.
