LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Salvation Army bell ringers are bringing back a familiar sound, marking the start of the holiday season and a time to give back.
The organization is rolling out its biggest efforts of the year, from red kettles to the Angel Tree.
They're all designed to help families across central Arkansas and the nation.
"It's a great opportunity to help benefit those in our area," Major Kenny Igleheart, commander for the Salvation Army. "It's also just a great time to come together as a family or a business or a church, or maybe a group of people can come together and volunteer for a location for a couple hours."
Each year, the Salvation Army serves thousands of families and children, but this year, they're expecting a large turnout.
