There is no dearth of ability in the free agent class for starting pitchers. Tatsuya Imai’s name is also included in this talent pool, and he‘s been linked to the San Francisco Giants. The righty has arguably been the most sought-after arm in the offseason. At 27, he possesses overpowering talent, with a high ceiling for development, and plenty of time to improve even further.
The Seibu Lions of the NPB posted Imai to the MLB free agent market at the end of the season. Soon, rumors linking him to the San Francisco Giants emerged. The Giants’ front office is reportedly willing to give up on the Japanese star.
