Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe says that Nick Pope requires further assessment after his groin injury in training on Friday.
The ex-Burnley stopper was under fire before the encounter with Everton but the decision was made for Howe after the muscle injury sustained before the team sheet was pinned up on the wall at Benton.
When asked about Pope's status, Howe said: "No further update from Saturday. He is probably one of a number of players that we will analyse early this week and try and get a proper diagnosis."
