OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) - An 85-year-old woman was seriously injured following an armed disturbance involving a blunt force object on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Olathe Police Department, it happened in the 1400 block of W. 119 th Street at around 12:33 p.m. on Sunday, November 30.

Upon arrival, officers found an 85-year-old woman with serious injuries. She was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

A 50-year-old male suspect was located on the scene and taken into custody. There is no active threat to the public.
