A man has been arrested following a suspected burglary at a business premises. At around 6.50pm yesterday on Sunday, November 30, Merseyside Police received a report that two or three men were stripping copper wire from a secure building located on Stoney Lane in Prescot .
Officers attended the location and were able to arrest one man at the scene who was said to be in possession of items used to commit thefts and burglaries. A 38-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of burglary and going equipped for theft.
He remains in police custody and will be questioned about the incident . It comes after six men were charged following a break-in at a secure site on Knowsley Business Park last week.
