Massachusetts is preparing for a snow storm to hit on Tuesday — with the chance for more flakes later in the week.

Monday’s forecast is dry and blustery statewide, according to the National Weather Service. Though winds are expected to die down by Monday afternoon, forecasters predict temperatures may dip to the 20s overnight.

Snow will begin to fall in Massachusetts on Tuesday morning. A winter storm watch has been issued for Western and Central Massachusetts from late Tuesday morning into Tuesday night.

Up to 6 inches of heavy snow is possible for Central and Western Massachusetts, according to forecasters. Some parts of Eastern Massachusetts could also receive accumulation.
