Central Dispatch got a call Sunday morning concerning a dispute at a duplex near the intersection of Michigan and Morton Streets.

Witnesses say an argument about a dog escalated.

Evansville police said 32-year-old Demetri Cole fired a gun into the air during the argument.

Police later found a shell casing at the scene.

Cole proved difficult to find, but police located and arrested him.

Two dogs were also taken from the scene.
