Lane Kiffin is set to be introduced as the new coach of the LSU football program on Monday afternoon.

The former Ole Miss head coach has an introductory press conference scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Kiffin coached Ole Miss to 11 regular-season wins this fall, the most in program history. The Rebels are now in position to make the College Football Playoff and compete for their first national championship since 1962. Kiffin asked Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter if he could continue to coach the program through January’s postseason, but the request was denied as the coach went to an in-conference rival.
