JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) -The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on Interstate 55.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the northbound lanes of the interstate near the Highway M exit in the Barnhart area around 8:30 a.m. on Monday for a semi-truck driver who had been shot. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other information has been released. First Alert 4 has a crew headed to the area and will update this story as information develops.
