More snow is forecast to fall in the North East in the coming days as temperatures are set to drop below freezing . WXCharts weather maps show snow is forecast to settle across parts of England, Wales and Scotland by Friday morning (December 5).

Snowfall could then make its way to the North East, with Newcastle, Northumberland and County Durham highlighted as areas which could see a spell of wintry weather. It comes after the region experienced the first snowfall of the season last month, with snow falling overnight on November 19 and November 20 .
