Two people were transported to the hospital following a crash on Highway 40 on Friday afternoon. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the crash on US-40 involved 2 vehicles. A car was traveling westbound and attempted to pass a slower moving semi so they crossed over the double solid yellow lines and crashed head on into the car that was headed eastbound. The accident occurred at Mile Marker 59. The two occupants heading westbound in the vehicle that attempted to pass the semi had no injuries while the second car had one occupant flown to a nearby hospital and another occupant taken to the hospital by ground ambulance. The accident occurred at approximately 2:30pm.
