Chris Davies says Birmingham City are already holding discussions about improving their squad in the January transfer window.

Blues brought 11 new players to the club in the summer – and Davies says they have the scope to add to that when the window opens in a month’s time.

Six permanent deals were secured as well as five loan players – the maximum that can be fielded in a match-day squad.

Players are also expected to leave next month and Davies told BBCWM Sport: “Those conversations are well under way. Obviously it's very important to plan early, so those conversations are well underway.

“We really get into that with even more focus in the coming days and weeks, because obviously it's a critical window for us to get right.
