Brockville police say thefts from liquor stores remain a frequent problem in the city, with the latest incident resulting in the arrest of two men last week.
“Thefts of products from the LCBO continue at a high rate of frequency,” police said in a media release on Monday.
Last Wednesday, at about 10:30 a.m., police received a call about another theft from the LCBO on Parkedale Avenue, police added.
“Information was that four bottles of merchandise were taken from the store, while the male suspect made no attempt to pay. It was also determined that there was another male involved, as the suspects left the scene together in a vehicle.”
Later that day, at about 4 p.m., officers found the suspect vehicle, and arrested a 26-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both identified as local.
