MANITOWOC, Wis. (WBAY) - The 37th annual Lakeshore Holiday Parade will go on.

The parade will now be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 6:30 p.m.

Manitowoc canceled last Wednesday’s parade because of heavy snow and strong winds. The weather posed a hazard to paradegoers, and the city said public safety couldn’t manage both the parade and weather-related calls for service.

Director of Tourism Courtney Hansen said the parade will follow the same route as they planned last week, going east from S. 14th and Washington streets and turning north on 8th St. to Park St.

It will also offer many of the same spectacles, including floats and marching bands.

The city will also still have a Sensory Sensitive Zone for children and adults who are sensitive to loud noise or flashing lights. There will be
