LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has charged a Fairfield County woman with two felony offenses after investigators say she forged bank documents to obtain federal COVID-19 relief funds.
According to SLED, 45-year-old Felicia Ernestine Coleman was arrested Monday, December 1, 2025, and charged with forgery – value $10,000 or more and obtaining property under false pretenses – value $10,000 or more. The South Carolina Office of Inspector General requested the investigation.
Arrest warrants state that between April 29, 2021, and June 3, 2021, Coleman forged or helped forge a First Citizens Bank statement that was then used to apply for a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan. Investigators say she received $20,832 as a result of the fraudulent app
