LONDON, ARKANSAS, Ark. — A man has now been arrested after he was found with illegal drugs following a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Pope County.
According to reports, at about 3:30 a.m. on November 26, a trooper pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation that was headed eastbound on I-40 near London.
However, during a search of the vehicle, a trooper found 17 trash bags that had individual vacuum-sealed packs of illegal marijuana that weighed about 448 pounds in total.
The trooper also found a bag inside that was suspected to be cocaine.
Following the search, troopers arrested 57-year-old Tuan Nmi Tran. He has since been booked into the Pope County Detention Center on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance
