GHENT, W.Va. — Winterplace, marketed as the Southeast's most affordable and accessible ski resort, will officially open for the 2025/2026 winter season on Saturday, December 6, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The resort, located near Flat Top, will begin the season with a limited opening, featuring one trail, one chairlift, and the Heaven Holler Terrain Park, which will have several early season features available for skiing and snowboarding. Limited operations are scheduled to run through the following weekend, with more terrain and lifts expected to open on Saturday, December 13, as snowmaking efforts continue.
