HODGESVILLE, W.Va. — Andrew Hitt, a Hodgesville man previously placed on GPS home confinement following a felony terroristic threat case involving Hodgesville Elementary School, was arrested Monday for violating the terms of his home incarceration, according to the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies conducted a routine home confinement check on Monday and inspected Hitt’s phone and computer. Officers reported that the devices’ browsing histories had been deleted and that Hitt claimed he could not remember the passwords needed to access required monitoring programs. After consulting with the prosecuting attorney, deputies charged Hitt with obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor, and filed a home confinement violation.

Hitt was arrested and arraigned, with bond set at $100,000 cash
