LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WAFB) - A school community is mourning the passing of a student following a car crash.
According to the Denham Springs High School powerlifting team, Adelie Latta died after fighting for her life for 27 days in a hospital. Latta ended up in the ICU from injuries she suffered during the crash in early November.
The powerlifting team remembered Latta with a tribute on social media.
“If you were ever at a meet with her or saw her on the platform, you received nothing less than a great joke and an infectious smile,” the Denahm Springs powerlifting team wrote in a post. “She was someone who lit up a room the second she walked in.
