PORTLAND, Maine — Adam Gardner, who lives in Maine and is one of the founding members of Guster, has been happily playing with that band since he helped form it more than 30 years ago. But for about one week each year, in early December, he goes off in a different musical direction with another group he helped create.
The band is called The LeeVees . Gardner and Dave Schneider of the Zambonis put the act together because they wanted to write and play some original, lighthearted Hanukkah songs. Among the titles: "Latke Clan" and "Jewish Girls (At the Matzoh Ball)."
