SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Monday morning, the Greene County Commission held its regular meeting to discuss planning and zoning items.

One group showed up to present a petition. The petition concerns a government contract between the Greene County Jail and ICE.

The Southern Missouri Immigration Alliance took advantage of the public comment section of the Greene County Commissioner Meeting this morning to present the commission with a stack of petitions, hoping to get them into the hands of Greene County Sheriff Jim Arnot.

“I’m with Southern Missouri Immigration Alliance, and this is about ICE’s Collaboration in Greene County Missouri,” said Katrina Busiehead, with the Southern Missouri Immigration Alliance.
