CHICO — Equipped with chemicals, paints and an industrial pressure washer, Miguel Rodrigues makes graffiti in Chico disappear.
Rodrigues is the “main guy” at Chico Public Works tasked with removing graffiti marks and vandalism on city property, especially spray paint.
On Monday, he worked on refurbishing a bike path in north Chico, where the Chico Police Department on Nov. 24 enforced anti-camping ordinances to homeless people camping there.
“I got one mission, and it’s removing graffiti,” Rodrigues said in an interview with this newspaper. • Chico Public Works maintainence worker Miguel Rodrigues pressure washes spray painted graffiti Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 at a bike path in north Chico, California.
