The Pittsburgh Steelers and cornerback Darius Slay have mutually agreed to part ways, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
“Steelers and CB Darius Slay have mutually agreed to part ways, Slay’s agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey told ESPN,” Schefter reports. “Slay is interested in continuing to play, and will consider signing with other teams. But his time in Pittsburgh has come to an end.”
Slay has struggled consistently throughout the 2025 season. Per NextGenStats, he has allowed 26 receptions for 302 yards for a passer rating of 103.7.
The Steelers made Slay a healthy scratch for Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills, elevating Asante Samuel Jr. to the active roster to make his Steelers debut.
The Steelers signed Slay in March. He helped the Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl in 2024.
