Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday that the U.S. Marshal's Service took a man into custody in Buna.

The arrest is said to be the result of a warrant that was recently issued accusing John Allen Wilcox, 54, of Buna with Federal Probation Violation.

Deputies say the arrest of Wilcox occurred on Farm to Market Road 2248 without any injury or incident.

At last word, Wilcox was still in federal custody.
